About Us

Since 1999, Fairview Partners has focused on helping leading alternative investment managers establish relationships with institutional investors, family offices and select high net worth investors.

​The Fairview team works primarily with carefully selected hedge fund managers, private equity, private credit, venture capital and commercial real estate firms. The Fairview team is focused on representing alternative investment managers employing strategies that deliver attractive risk-adjusted returns with low correlations to traditional investments.

We leverage our extensive investor relationships across North America to introduce our investment manager clients to public and corporate pension plans, endowments, foundations, insurance companies, sovereign wealth funds, institutional consultants, wealth management firms, RIAs, family offices and select high net worth investors.

​Our licensed broker-dealer, Fairview Securities, Inc., is registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and is a member of the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), the National Futures Association (NFA) and the Securities Investor Protection Corporation (SIPC). 

Our Philosophy

Fairview continuously monitors the performance of both established and emerging managers to identify those who are the most highly skilled and talented in their respective strategy classes. As a starting point in our screening process, we only meet with managers that have delivered top-quartile performance, or better, relative to their peers over a period of three or more years. Some key considerations for evaluation and selection of Fairview manager clients include:

  • Character and credibility of the principals and other team members;

  • Firm culture and reputation in the marketplace

  • Investment niche, market segment or strategy specialty

  • Market or sector focus

  • Absolute and relative risk-adjusted returns vs. competitors

  • Risk management discipline

  • Operational and reporting infrastructure

  • Balance between plans for future growth and AUM capacity

An important firm objective is to monitor investor sentiment and provide institutional investors (including public and private pension funds, endowments & foundations, insurance companies, family offices and other institutions) with introductions to the highest caliber managers and investments strategies suitable to meet their investment goals and asset allocation requirements.

Our Team Approach

The Fairview Partners team is involved in marketing strategy and sales efforts for all investment manager clients. Focus is achieved by appointing a senior member of the team with direct responsibility for a single client project. We believe this team approach combined with a leadership focus provides our managers with the benefit of a targeted marketing effort and broad reach in the investor universe.

Fairview’s team members have over 125 years of combined investment banking, capital markets and marketing experience with alternative investments as well as expertise acting as both dedicated internal marketers and on a third-party basis. Our managers benefit from both the breadth or our investment network and the efficiency of our team’s marketing efforts.

Fairview’s compensation is directly tied to its success in helping investment manager clients grow assets. Consistent with industry standards, Fairview typically receives a retainer from managers as well as ongoing referral fees for successful introductions.
